Vhils - About the artist
Alexandre Farto AKA Vhils was born in Portugal in 1987. He studied at the Byam Shaw School of Art in London. Vhils lives and works out of London and Lisbon. He first gained prominence when his work appeared alongside a picture by street artist Banksy at the Cans Festival in London in 2008. Vhils style of subtracting materials and carving pictures out of walls, gives his work and tangible aesthetic that is both unique and renowned. Vhils artwork can be seen on walls and in galleries around the world.
