Vinnie Nylon - About the artist
Vinnie Nylon is a British artist who has been writing graffiti since 1985. He comes from a background of the peace movement, punk and skateboarding in which he had painted slogans and stencils, even as a young boy in the early 80’s prior to the so called era of Subway Art. Much of the subject matter of Vinnie Nylon’s paintings is the product of a lifelong collecting obsession with post war products, badges, cartoons, toys and advertising media. Vinnie Nylon has had his work published by the likes of Thames and Hudson, Graphotism, Garage magazine and Hip Hop connection. He has also done creative work for major brands such as Sony playstation, Foster’s ice, 50-50 skateboards, Penguin books, Reebok shoes and DJ Paul Oakenfold.
